DAY 1 : KIGALI CITY TOUR

Will start the day by visiting Kigali Genocide Memorial site at Gisozi, which is the final resting place for over 250,000 victims of 1994 Genocide against Tutsi. The visit takes approximately 1h30min. Then after, you will visit Campaign against genocide museum located in the parliament building. Here you will learn and understand how RPF INKOTANYI stopped the Genocide( takes 2 hours ).

After understanding the history of 1994 genocide ,you will head to Pili pili Restaurant for lunch, which is known to have an amazing view. After having a delicious lunch at Pili pili, our next stop will be Kimironko Market.

kimironko market is one of the biggest and well-known local market in Kigali. It is the huge covered market, teeming with people and the most wonderful stalls selling everything you can imagine from fruits and Vegetables to cloth and craft product.

After the tour of the market you will join Virginie , a Rwandan local who makes bags and basket .

This will be the most interesting experience as you will join Virgine in her daily life activity , where she will be able to teach you how to make one the most amazing handmade bags found in different colors with quality materials, and they are favorable as shopping bags . She also weave baskets , this played a big role in Rwanda history and culture( which you will be told during the class) , she will also tell you how this has helped her to earn a living and in raising her family . After that you will call it a a day and the guide will drive you back to your place of accommodation .

DAY 2 : KIGALI - AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK - NIGHT GAME DRIVE

This day begins with an early start at around 5am as you embark on an exciting adventure to Akagera National Park in Rwanda. Your journey kicks off with a delightful stopover at Imigongo Cafe for a scrumptious breakfast, where you indulge in local delicacies amidst the serene surroundings and get a chance to grab one of the best coffee in Rwanda .

After fueling up, you head into Akagera National Park for a thrilling game drive, where the vast savannas and woodlands come alive with an array of wildlife. Keep your camera ready as you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and maybe even predators like lions and leopards.

As the morning progresses, you switch gears for a serene sunrise boat ride at 9 am, gliding along the picturesque waters of Lake Ihema. This tranquil experience offers a unique perspective, allowing you to observe hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species in their natural habitat against the backdrop of the rising sun.

After a relaxing midday break, you gear up for another thrilling adventure at 5 pm - a night game drive. As the day transitions into dusk, the park transforms, offering a different set of sights and sounds. With the assistance of spotlights, you venture into the darkness, searching for nocturnal creatures such as hyenas, bushbabies, and maybe even elusive leopards prowling under the cover of darkness. Once all is , you will return to the hotel relax , and get ready for the next day adventure with Kigali Atlantis Tours in Akagera National Park .

DAY 3 : AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK - KIGALI - AIRPORT DROP OFF

On this day you will continue the game drive in Akagera Nakagera National Park later in the afternoon depending on your flight hours , you will drive back to kigali , and our guide will take you to the airport , and if you are staying in Kigali , the guide will drive you back home or to your place of accommodation .
