Will start the day by visiting Kigali Genocide Memorial site at Gisozi, which is the final resting place for over 250,000 victims of 1994 Genocide against Tutsi. The visit takes approximately 1h30min. Then after, you will visit Campaign against genocide museum located in the parliament building. Here you will learn and understand how RPF INKOTANYI stopped the Genocide( takes 2 hours ).

After understanding the history of 1994 genocide ,you will head to Pili pili Restaurant for lunch, which is known to have an amazing view. After having a delicious lunch at Pili pili, our next stop will be Kimironko Market.

kimironko market is one of the biggest and well-known local market in Kigali. It is the huge covered market, teeming with people and the most wonderful stalls selling everything you can imagine from fruits and Vegetables to cloth and craft product.

After the tour of the market you will join Virginie , a Rwandan local who makes bags and basket .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This will be the most interesting experience as you will join Virgine in her daily life activity , where she will be able to teach you how to make one the most amazing handmade bags found in different colors with quality materials, and they are favorable as shopping bags . She also weave baskets , this played a big role in Rwanda history and culture( which you will be told during the class) , she will also tell you how this has helped her to earn a living and in raising her family . After that you will call it a a day and the guide will drive you back to your place of accommodation .
